How To Maximize Amazon For Baby Essentials
Today I ordered cat litter on my phone with free shipping using Amazon Prime. When feeding my baby I asked Alexa what time it was for my baby log. Now I’m watching a streaming movie on Prime while writing a blog that makes a small commission on clicked Amazon links.
Does this describe you? Is Amazon a regular fixture of your life? If so, here are two more ways to maximize that relationship, this time for your baby essentials:
Amazon Baby Registry
If you’ve got a baby on the way, Amazon Baby Registry is one way to help ensure you’re as prepared as possible for the arrival of that little bundle of joy.
Amazon’s Baby Registry service gives you access to their enormous store, which now features over 270,000 baby items. That might sound a little daunting, but don’t worry. Amazon have curated a list of “essentials” to help you get started, which will be especially useful for first-time parents who want to get the best baby detergent or the latest baby items from Shark Tank. If you need further advice, you can ask one of their experts, or you can even borrow a friend’s list if they’ve used Amazon Baby Registry before.
The user-friendly features don’t end there. You can access Amazon Baby Registry from anywhere that has an internet connection, including your mobile device. After completing your list, you can share it quickly and easily with your friends and family through email or social media.
If you’re an Amazon Prime member, who also uses Amazon Baby Registry, you’ll receive a raft of extra benefits. These include free two-day shipping on products, and a 15% completion discount (a raise on the 10% offered to normal Amazon Baby Registry users). Amazon Prime members also get access to a series of special offers. These change frequently, but can include discounts on items such as baby apparel, and even free parenting eBooks.
Returning gifts received through Amazon Baby Registry is quick and easy: simply package the gift up and send it back, and you’ll receive reimbursement for the full amount. While that tummy time playmat or high contrast toy sounded really cool to you, if baby shows no interest returns are hassle-free. Need to know what to register for baby? Amazon Family – formerly Amazon Mom – is a sub-section of premium subscription service Amazon Prime. Amazon Family is designed to make life a little easier for parents and guardians of young children. To access it you’ll require a subscription to Amazon Prime, which costs $99/year. You create a profile for your child, and Amazon Family immediately begins recommending you products.
Amazon Family offers you discounts on a wide variety of baby-based products. You’ll get 20% off diapers. You’ll receive coupons for products such as formula and laundry detergent (which will come in extremely handy!), as well as exclusive Baby Registry benefits. You’ll get access to thousands of child-friendly movies, TV shows and songs. All this comes in addition to the usual Amazon Prime offerings, including speedy delivery and exclusive deals.
If you’re an existing Prime member, Amazon Family is a no-brainer thanks to a very quick signup process. If not, you can look forward to excellent discounts on nappies. However, you should definitely take the time to research the coupons you get access to for other deals, and see if they’re likely to appeal to you.
